About
Aura Aguilar-Roldán is a visiting student at the Computational Neurogenomics Laboratory at QIMR Berghofer, under the supervision of Associate Professor Miguel E. Rentería and Dr Luis García-Marín.
She is completing her BSc in Genomic Sciences degree at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Her research project seeks to uncover the genetic factors and biological pathways underlying the relationship between neurodegenerative disorders and sleep-related traits.
Previously, Aura was a trainee in population genetics and bioinformatics at the International Laboratory for Human Genome Research in Mexico, where she analysed the distribution of fitness effects in humans.
